On 13 August 2018, the Sixth Wave Alliance’s nine forming member organisations gathered at the CSIRO’s Queensland Centre for Advanced Technologies in Pullenvale, QLD to give continuity to the alliance’s structuring process.
The initial media coverage about the formation of the alliance generated vast interest across Australia, which resulted in another 11 organisations attending the workshop. These organisations also expressed interest in becoming affiliates.
Among the topics discussed, business model, governance structure and workstreams were further explored.
The group was pleased with the attendance from both local and interstate businesses and will continue to work to ensure the Sixth Wave Alliance makes a positive contribution to promote and facilitate the adoption and creation of robotics and automation technology in Australia.
